Works to improve safety with the installation of a ‘No Stopping Zone’ are now complete at the junction of Bower Road and Sansom Road, Semaphore Park.
Following extensive feedback from the community, local council and safety investigations, parking arrangements on Bower Road opposite the junction and to the east of Sansom Road near Swan Terrace, have been altered to improve safety for all road users.
Safety improvements include the installation of a 45 metre ‘No Stopping Zone’ on Bower Road, opposite Sansom Road, and extending the existing ‘No Stopping Zone’ on Bower Road, east of Sansom Road, for an additional 20 metres to include bus stop 36C Sansom Road.

Older vehicles are over-represented in fatal vehicle crashes and the average age of a vehicle involved in a fatality crash is increasing.
The South Australian Government is committed to the introduction of a heavy vehicle inspection scheme to identify, monitor and mitigate un-roadworthiness of heavy vehicles on South Australian roads.
Road users are advised the Anzac Highway/Brighton Road/Tapleys Hill Road intersection will be closed to all traffic for resurfacing works on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, 13 – 15 August, between 9pm and 6am. Speed and land restrictions will also be in place between 7pm-9pm prior to the full closure.
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) will be improving safety and traffic flow at the junction of McIntyre Road and The Golden Way, Wynn Vale, by installing an additional right turn lane from The Golden Way into McIntyre Road.
