No train services from first service to 9am tomorrow (Tuesday) and 3pm to 7pm Wednesday due to industrial action

Monday, 15 April 2024

No train services will run tomorrow (Tuesday 16 April) from first service until 9am and between 3pm to 7pm Wednesday (17 April) due to industrial action being taken by some drivers employed by private contractor Keolis Downer Adelaide.

Adelaide Metro received final confirmation earlier today industrial action will be taken between 6am and 8am tomorrow, as well as between 4pm and 6pm on Wednesday - however impacts to services will extend before and after these times as services stop/return to normal timetables.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 16 April) –services will not be running from first service, with normal services expected to resume after 9am.

Wednesday (17 April) – services are expected to be impacted from approximately 3pm, with normal services expected to resume running after 7pm.

Adelaide Metro is working to limit the impact to train passengers, however the timing of both actions during peak periods means there will be very limited substitute bus services available.

A small number of substitute bus services will be operating in close vicinity to train lines, please check the Adelaide Metro website for more details, including substitute bus stop locations and alternative bus services.

Customers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternative transport arrangements, including catching regular bus services, trams, organising a lift with family or friends, or working from home where possible.

Adelaide Metro will continue to keep customers informed of impacts to train services via all available channels, including at adelaidemetro.com.au, on the Adelaide Metro’s X account and the Adelaide Metro's Facebook page.

Passengers are also being made aware of this disruption to services with signage in Adelaide Railway Station and station announcements across the network.

Passengers can also call the Adelaide Metro Infoline on 1300 311 108 or visit the Adelaide Metro InfoCentre in the Adelaide Railway Station (both open 7am-8pm daily) with any enquiries.

Adelaide Metro thanks all customers for their patience and apologises for the inconvenience caused by this industrial action.
