McLaren Vale Overpass
The Noarlunga - Victor Harbor Road is an important road linking Adelaide to the tourist and commercial activity of the Fleurieu Peninsula. About 18,000 vehicles use Victor Harbor Road to go between Main South Road and Main Road at McLaren Vale each day.
This project was aimed to increase capacity and safety of traffic operations at the intersection by grade separation, allowing free flow of all movement including high speed allowance for traffic to merge safely, uninterrupted right turn movements, reduce queues and delays when approaching the intersection along with provision for future duplication of Victor Harbor Road.
Project time frame
October 2011 - January 2013
Project cost
$18 million
