On July 1, 2019 the South Australian Government will establish the new South Australian Public Transport Authority (SAPTA).
SAPTA is focused entirely on the delivery of public transport services – buses, trams and rail.
Its mission is to deliver a customer-first public transport culture in SA that puts people before projects. Its goal is to increase public transport patronage and reduce road congestion.
The Director, Customer Service and Transformation is a key appointment, with responsibility to drive this customer-first culture within SAPTA’s operations, maintenance and service delivery.
Working collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Executive Director and leadership team, the successful candidate will have accountability for key customer functions including ticketing, information and services.
As a member of the SAPTA Executive team, the Director, Customer Service and Transformation will be expected to set a new standard for service excellence across the entire organisation through their personal behaviour and leadership.
We are seeking a leader who is skilled in contemporary service design and delivery, is able to integrate people and technology, and is experienced in program management to deliver service transformation across multifaceted functions. The ability to work on a tight budget utilising lean and efficient business practices is essential.
