KEY FACTS:
  • 490 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2018, compared with 537 during 2017.


  • 43 people have been seriously injured in OCTOBER 2018.


  • 23 serious injuries were males and 20 were females.


  • 25 were vehicle occupants, 10 were motorcycle riders, 4 were cyclists and 4 were pedestrians.


  • In OCTOBER 2018, there were 21 serious injuries in the country and 22 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 36 serious injury crashes in OCTOBER 2018, 21 involved a single vehicle and 15 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 32 crashes involved a single serious injury and 4 involved multiple serious injuries.
