KEY FACTS:
  • 440 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2018, compared with 491 during 2017.


  • 51 people have been seriously injured in SEPTEMBER 2018.


  • 31 serious injuries were males and 20 were females.


  • 35 were vehicle occupants, 8 were motorcycle riders, 4 were cyclists and 4 were pedestrians.


  • In SEPTEMBER 2018, there were 22 serious injuries in the country and 29 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 39 serious injury crashes in SEPTEMBER 2018, 23 involved a single vehicle and 16 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 30 crashes involved a single serious injury and 9 involved multiple serious injuries.
