KEY FACTS:

583 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2019, compared with 447 during 2018.

68 people have been seriously injured in SEPTEMBER 2019.

48 serious injuries were males and 20 were females.

31 were vehicle occupants, 20 were motorcycle riders, 12 were bicycle or e-scooter riders and 5 were pedestrians.

In SEPTEMBER 2019, there were 20 serious injuries in the country and 48 in Adelaide.

Of the 61 serious injury crashes in SEPTEMBER 2019, 33 involved a single vehicle and 28 involved more than one vehicle.
56 crashes involved a single serious injury and 5 involved multiple serious injuries.
