KEY FACTS:
  • 833 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2019, compared with 576 during 2018.


  • 90 people have been seriously injured in DECEMBER 2019.


  • 56 serious injuries were males and 34 were females.


  • 55 were vehicle occupants, 19 were motorcycle riders, 10 were bicycle or e-scooter riders and 6 were pedestrians.


  • In DECEMBER 2019, there were 32 serious injuries in the country and 58 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 80 serious injury crashes in DECEMBER 2019, 42 involved a single vehicle and 38 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 73 crashes involved a single serious injury and 7 involved multiple serious injuries.
