Safety will soon be improved for motorists with street lighting to be upgraded on Happy Valley Drive.
The project will improve night time safety with the installation of new light emitting diode (LED), low energy use street lighting on Happy Valley Drive, between Black Road and Manning Road.
The works are scheduled to commence today, Tuesday, 16 February 2016 and are expected to be completed by early May 2016, weather permitting.
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises that a 25 km/h speed restriction will be in place while workers are on site and road users are asked to exercise extra caution when workers are on site.
This $786 000 safety initiative is funded by the Australian Government’s Black Spot Programme.
DPTI thanks road users for their cooperation and patience while these important works are undertaken.
