Essential safety works on Gorge Road between Torrens Hill Rd and Corkscrew Rd will be carried out from 27 January until the end of February 2015.
Throughout the works, Gorge Road will be closed Monday to Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm.
The closures are in place to allow the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure to safely undertake vegetation removals and geotechnical work for rock stabilisation, pinning and removal.
The department also will be installing beam barriers for motorcycle protection near King George Avenue to Corkscrew Road. This work is expected to be completed end of April 2015.
During this time traffic management measures will be in place and all detours will be clearly marked.
Throughout the works, the Cudlee Creek businesses will be operating as usual. They can be accessed via Lower North East Road/North East Road and Paracombe Road.
Works will not be undertaken on days that are classified as Catastrophic or Extreme fire danger.
