DPTI Conditions of Contract

Whenever possible, DPTI uses accepted industry standards as the General Conditions of Contract. These are usually well understood by the relevant industries and reflect DPTI’s approach to risk allocation.  The following DPTI Special Conditions of Contract are used with the Australian Standard General Conditions:

However, for some categories of contract, DPTI uses its own Conditions of Contract. These documents include an Annexure, which contains details that are specific to a particular contract (eg date of completion).

GCC Goods is used for routine goods supply contracts.

GCC Goods with Installation is used for routine goods supply and installation contracts.

GCC Minor Works and Field Services is used for low value or low risk contracts for works or services that are related to the construction or maintenance of infrastructure; for example, hire of construction plant with an operator, graffiti removal, load and haul.

GCC Services - Major is used for significant services contracts. It includes provision for a formal Instrument of Agreement, Security Deposits and Parent Company Guarantees.

GCC Services – Minor is used for simple contracts (ie based on offer and acceptance) for services. It is not used for long term contracts.

GCC Services - Hourly Rate is used where a contractor works under the general direction of DPTI on an hourly rate.

GCC Plant is used for purchases of construction / maintenance plant and equipment.

GCC Plant Hire is used for the hire of construction / maintenance plant.
