Hall walls up at Paringa Park Primary School
SJS Commercial are making steady progress on the construction of a new hall at Paringa Park Primary School.
Since laying the slab in late July 2009, SJS Commercial have completed all structural steel work, installed the roof and completed the bulk of the external walls.
SJS Commercial have been awarded another four Primary School for the 21st Century school projects and a new Science and Language Learning Centre and as a result of the additional work, have been able to employ two trainees.
"I struggled to get work placement for my Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics when the Global Financial Crisis hit last year and thanks to the schools projects SJS Commercial have been able to tailor a traineeship that covers my Uni requirement's and the additional training that I need to enter the workplace after I have completed my degree,” said Ryan Viney, trainee at SJS Commercial.
School Principal Ms Diane Atwa commented that the students, staff, parents and the local community are also noticing the progress as the hall really starts to take shape.
The new hall at Paringa Park Primary School was awarded under round one of the Primary Schools for the 21st Century, Building the Education Revolution program as part of the Australian Government’s $42 billion Nation Building-Economic Stimulus Plan.
