Administration Trainee

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is committed to building the capability, confidence and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and will provide opportunities to enable young men and women to achieve their educational and employment goals. Trainees will be employed and based in offices within DPTI across metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia. Duties will include meeting and greeting members of the public, paying accounts, mail outs, filing, data entry, photocopying, answering the telephone and general administrative duties.

Special Conditions: These roles will be filled by Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people as equal employment opportunity programs as per section 65 of the Public Sector Act 2009. To apply for a traineeship role you need to be between the ages of 17-30 (inclusive). You can only complete one State Government traineeship, and you must not have taken a package from the State Government within the last three years. Prosecutor

The Prosecutor is responsible for leading and coordinating a range of activities relating to the conduct of prosecutions including managing challenging case loads, achieving satisfactory completion of individual cases in a timely manner; preparing and issuing summonses and other legal documents on behalf of the Agency; interpreting and providing expert advice to relevant stakeholders in relation to legislation and regulations relating to offences pursuant to the Passenger Transport, Motor Vehicles, Road Traffic and other related Acts. 

Special Conditions: Some out of hours work & intrastate travel necessitating overnight absences will be required. A current driver’s license is essential. The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory criminal history/record check in line with the Departmental policy.

Senior Acquisitions Manager

Vacancy No: C7800/2014
Contract Appointment for 2 years

The Senior Acquisitions Manager, North-South Corridor will report to the Manager, Real Estate Services in the Building Management Division of DPTI, and will be a senior member of the North-South Corridor Program Management Team. The role is supported by specialist valuers, commercial property managers, rental accommodation managers, commercial property managers, building property managers and crown solicitors within DPTI along with specialist advisers contracted on an as needs basis. The majority of the above support staff will not have a line management accountability to this role, however the role will provide leadership to and integration of a wide range of internal and external service providers to ensure program objectives are met.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: Relevant Property qualification with high level experience in a senior management role.

Special Conditions: This vacancy is a 1-5 year contract and will be filled for 2 years initially, with the possibility of extension. Frequent out of hours work will be required. Intra/interstate travel including overnight absences may also be required. A current Driver’s License is required. This role has been classified as a position of trust. Talent Search Coordinator

TThe Talent Search Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) talent search program through conducting talent identification activities and initiatives, managing testing data, and using the test data to assist in identifying athletes for sport specific talent development programs. This position involves significant interaction with educational institutions, students and parents, coaches, sporting organisations, and supervision of other staff.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: A degree in sports science or equivalent. Senior first aid and CPR certification.

Solution Developer (Pool)

The Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to establish a pool of experienced IT professionals to enable the timely recruitment of dynamic Solution Developers. The pool will operate for a period up to 25 September 2015 and successful candidates will be eligible for a range of employment opportunities. Duties to be undertaken will be to provide specialist functional advice and consultancy to key stakeholders across the department on a range of technical system implementation functions and comprehensive, specialist analysis services for IT application systems. The roles will oversee and perform analysis, solution design, solution build, data cleansing data mapping, migration and interfacing processes using configuration technologies, which contribute to the achievement of the department's organisational goals and objectives within an overall government framework.

HR Consultant (Pool)

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to establish a pool of experienced HR consultants to provide expert consultancy services across the Department on a range of complex issues. The pool will operate for a period up to 29 May 2015 and successful candidates will be eligible for employment opportunities of up to 12 months duration. Duties to be undertaken include the provision of expert advisory and consultancy services to the Department on a range of human resource management issues.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification.
