General Manager (Various Roles)

Our general managers must have a strong focus on people, place and culture whilst delivering the business of the state. We are looking for dynamic leaders to ensure the organisation builds on current success and is strategically positioned for the future. We require a leadership team that is highly respected by industry - personally and professionally, and sets extraordinarily high standards of personal behaviour for themselves and expect these standards to be replicated in the people they lead. They must be able to balance people priorities with project priorities and devote appropriate amounts of time to both and be fearless change leaders and service improvers. Other requirements include being flexible, responsive and innovative and to be able to shift culture through their interpersonal skills and behaviours. They will also need to be politically astute and able to interact well at the most senior levels of industry and government and engage closely and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Construction and Maintenance Worker (CMW5)

Temporary for 12 months

The Construction and Maintenance Worker is responsible for the operation of a range of field based road construction and road improvement activities.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: Possess a current driver's licence and Class MR truck licence. Must be physically able to perform the duties and be willing to travel including working on sites remote from the Adelaide metropolitan area, which will necessitate overnight absences. Please see role statement for more essential qualifications.

Special Conditions: The position will be based at the Nuriootpa Depot however applicants must be prepared to work on either a temporary or continuing basis, at other locations within Field Services, and work a 9 day fortnight (or other roster as appropriate to the workgroup). Intrastate travel including overnight absences will be required. Will be required to undertake appropriate training courses. Medical and functional assessments will be required prior to appointment and undertaken on an annual basis.

Electrical Tradesperson Special Class

Vacancy No: T7962/2014
Ongoing Role

The electrician is responsible, but not limited to, the electrical maintenance of ferries, ferry crossings and dockyard domestic systems, as well as the overhaul, fit out and refit of the electrical components of ferries. The role is also responsible for planning the layout of ferry equipment and implementing new design trials. The electrician reports to the dockyard supervisor, and team leader, and works with Eastern Region staff, ferry contractors and ferry operators to ensure reliable and efficient operation of the ferries.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: Possess an appropriate trade qualification.

Special Conditions: The position is based at the Morgan Dockyard. Overnight absences may be required from time to time. There is a requirement to obtain and maintain appropriate valid licences subject to role and legislative requirements. May be required to work flexible hours, and work overtime at short notice. Must be physically able to perform duties.

Boiler Maker Trades person Special Class

Administration Trainee

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is committed to building the capability, confidence and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and will provide opportunities to enable young men and women to achieve their educational and employment goals. Trainees will be employed and based in offices within DPTI across metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia. Solution Developer (Pool)

The Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to establish a pool of experienced IT professionals to enable the timely recruitment of dynamic Solution Developers. The pool will operate for a period up to 25 September 2015 and successful candidates will be eligible for a range of employment opportunities. Duties to be undertaken will be to provide specialist functional advice and consultancy to key stakeholders across the department on a range of technical system implementation functions and comprehensive, specialist analysis services for IT application systems. The roles will oversee and perform analysis, solution design, solution build, data cleansing data mapping, migration and interfacing processes using configuration technologies, which contribute to the achievement of the department's organisational goals and objectives within an overall government framework.

HR Consultant (Pool)

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to establish a pool of experienced HR consultants to provide expert consultancy services across the Department on a range of complex issues. The pool will operate for a period up to 29 May 2015 and successful candidates will be eligible for employment opportunities of up to 12 months duration. Duties to be undertaken include the provision of expert advisory and consultancy services to the Department on a range of human resource management issues.
