Data Support Officer

The Data Support Officer is responsible for facilitating the operation of the PTS customer trip information systems, the website, Real-Time Customer Information channels and the user systems of the, InfoLine and InfoCentre staff (the ‘systems’) by contributing to data accuracy, integrity and validity; monitoring compliance with styles and standards.

Special Conditions: This is a part-time position (0.67 FTE ) and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. Some out of hours work may be required.

Senior Transport Safety Compliance Officer (Road)

Vacancy No: 5257/2014
Ongoing Role

The Senior Transport Safety Compliance Officer (Road) is responsible for a range of activities associated with the conduct of vehicle inspections, in accordance with agency guidelines and ensuring that restricted access vehicles and other vehicles operating under exemption are roadworthy and comply with permit, code of practice and gazette notice conditions/specifications. The role is also responsible for enforcement and deterrent action where vehicles are operating in breach of relevant legislation, in accordance with agency policies, procedures and guidelines and may be required to undertake compliance duties in other regulatory fields, including marine.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: OPS3 - Nil. OPS4 - Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance) or equivalent.

Special Conditions: This role has been classified as a position of trust. The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory criminal history / record check in line with departmental policies and procedures. The location will be Ceduna. Operational responsiveness necessitates work around the State. Occasional intrastate travel and work outside of normal hours and at weekends will be required. A current C class driver's licence is required. Hours of work are 152 hours over a four week period, which may be worked on an irregular shift basis over the 24 hour day, seven days per week including public holidays. Must wear agency uniform.

Construction and Maintenance Worker CMW5

The Construction and Maintenance Worker is responsible for the operation of a range of maintenance activities associated with road/bridge construction and maintenance.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: Possess a current Class MR (or above) truck licence. Possess or be prepared to obtain an Equipment Operator’s OHS Competency Qualification. Possess or be prepared to obtain a Statement of Attainment of the General Workzone Traffic Management Course. Please refer to the role statement for more essential qualifications.

Special Conditions: The position will be based at the Mt Gambier Depot however applicants must be prepared to work on either a temporary or continuing basis, at other locations within Field Services. Work a 9 day fortnight (or other roster as appropriate to the workgroup). Intrastate travel including overnight absences will be required. Will be required to undertake appropriate training courses. Medical and functional assessments will be required prior to appointment and undertaken on an annual basis.

Signal Engineer

The Signals Engineer is responsible for preparing designs, specifications, technical instructions, submissions and reports relating to Adelaide's public transport system; investigating and reporting on signalling system reliability issues; researching and reporting on options to improve the signalling system performance; and providing technical support to the field staff in signalling, Centralised Train Control and electrical systems maintenance.

Essential Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering enabling eligibility for corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers, Australia.

Special Conditions: Some work outside normal hours and some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required. A current Class C Driver’s Licence is essential. The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to establish a pool of experienced HR consultants to provide expert consultancy services across the Department on a range of complex issues. The pool will operate for a period up to 29 May 2015 and successful candidates will be eligible for employment opportunities of up to 12 months duration. Duties to be undertaken include the provision of expert advisory and consultancy services to the Department on a range of human resource management issues.
