Surveys are used to obtain information about the ways that children travel to school. They are conducted at specific stages during the five-year life of a
Way2Go School Travel Plan.
Baseline surveys
- provide data that assist in development of School Travel Plans
- involve parents/carers, students and teachers
- are completed electronically.
Hands-up surveys
- collect ongoing travel data at selected stages during each five-year School Travel Plan
- involve students only and are conducted in-school.
Five-year review
- is conducted towards the end of the school's five-year School Travel Plan
- measures trends in how children travel to school
- indicates areas for development in the school's next five-year School Travel Plan.
